Running a business it unsurprisingly time-consuming. Unfortunately, it is not possible to add hours on the clock, but still, you want to fulfill everything: client meetings, investors, media, as well as also have time for yourself, family, and hobbies. The ones who master the most important skill are only successful at this. And the skill is efficient time management. We collected some tips on how to stay on top of the business and still have time for yourself:

Make your meetings shorter

It doesn’t have to take an hour to do a weekly activity review with your employees or discuss further cooperation with partners. Let everyone be efficient and straight to the point: without unnecessary chitchat, you can get much more done in much less amount of time.

Include time for yourself in the calendar

CEOs’ schedules can look pretty tight, starting with internal morning meetings to dinners with potential clients. Before you plan another media call for the next week, put in some hours for being alone: schedule yourself a walk, gym class or anything else not work-related.

Turn to your employees

What can be done in the ‘free’ time is going around the office and learn things about your employees’ hobbies and life outside work. Not only it is going to create a more friendly work, but the sense of a company being a team will create a more emotional bond of your colleagues to your company, which is important for organizational culture and efficient processes.

Get yourself an assistant

Whether it could be a full-time personal assistant or a virtual one, it will allow you to get many decisions made and work done much faster. An assistant will be able to orchestrate secondary services and talk on your behalf, without you spending energy on it.

When you are an entrepreneur, there is always stress and anxiety. You are always worried that you are doing something incorrectly, that you are missing something out, that something is going wrong. And, you know, a lot of things can go wrong. Try to focus on the main things — eat healthy, do sports, read, drink a lot of water, spend time with your family, do time management in the way so that your life is full. If your project is not a total success, at least you have your health and your family. And if not all of your projects are total success, keep throwing the ball and one day it will definitely fall into the basket. — Daria Dubinina, CEO of Crassula
